Anyone have a half gravel half sand set up? I am talking side by side not one on top of the other.

I think you would have some mixing but in my 125 with my puffer I think 50/50 might just work. Leaving the gravel on the side of the filter intake.
It looks pretty good.. Is that some type of divider separating the two substates?? And what's your purpose?

Yes I have a divider to slow down the mixing of the sand and gravel. I mostly wanted to do it because I have not seen it done to much. I have enough sand and I will probably switch it to all sand eventually. For now I like the uniqueness of the tank.
that looks realy cool but personally i would take out the divider and stur up the point which the two mix to make it look natural. it doesnt look like ur puffer moves the substrate around at all so you should be good
Well I just scooped out the last of the gravel and have all sand now. Puffer is not to happy at the moment but she will get over it. If I had to do it over again I would have just went all sand to begin with.
