I didnt use a flash, I had a halogen light to help me get the lighting the way I wanted it. When I use a flash you can see all of the scratches in my glass, and i dont like the glare it puts on the fish or their eyes:(
 
If I use a flash, I shoot from about a 30 degree angle (from the glass), otherwise I get that flash glare. I think it shows completly different colors than non flash photos and makes fish stand out from the background more.

But anyways that fish is huge man. He's got to weigh like 5 or so lbs.
 
When I got him he was 17" tip to tip. He gave the entire LFS a shower when we got him lol...
best $40 I've ever spent LOL

What is your current temp. in the tank, btw?
 
high 70's

When the pond gets built we're going to keep the temp in it lower. I think his lack of color has a lot to do with high temp.
 
I saw that. Goodluck with the sale. I really wish I could but my 300 is peaceful for the moment and I dont want to stir anything up....I'm pretty lucky the way it is lol. (plus its pretty full)
