I know that T's do not get anything and that is why i do not have any, what you are seeing in the bowl is a sponge that makes the bowl more shallow so that she is more comfortable drinking from it since the only bowl i could find for her was about 4" deep. I am aware of how quickly T's become dehydrated and I admit that she was a little dry when I got her. She is much better now.
Its interesting that you bring up that point because from some time now I suspect that not only does nothing but could actualy be a hazzardous thing to deal with. Here in the lab I deal with caution with a thing called "poliacrilamide gel", and as it at least seems to me that thing is pretty similar, it should be taken out of the market, put water insted.Jessica Dring;3662495; said:Lovely little rose hair hun.
Please can I just reccomend getting rid of that gel and giving her some fresh water. Tarantulas get nothing from the gel and if I'm honest she is looking dehydrated from the way she is holding herself. A good drink of just plain water will do the trick but if left too long it is rather difficult to turn around. You wouldn't think Chilean sp. need water but I've just had a chile rose come in dehydrated and the poor thing was drinking for a good hour and a half... a reason I really hate the spider/cricket gels
As long as the water dish is shallow she will be fine. I'm just trying to help because as an owner of around 200 T's now, I know how quickly dehydration can kill a T.
Oh ok. I like mexican red knees moresnakeguy101;3662738; said:thanks for the compliment.
