He is right, it was a 3rd person game. I thought it was just dumped cause it wouldn't work. The when Bungie was bought by M$ they made them redo it. They had hummers as warthogs and some weird dog things that you could ride on. Check the bonus disc of H2evilxyardxgnome;1159314; said:

I watched that DVD like 3,000 times and the dog thing was supposed to be a creature in H2 not the original PC games. The one I have is where you are in 3rd person and there are Elites but from what I remember they are only red. Also there is only like 6 areas in the game in which you fight I am guessing they were supposed to be the Covenant at the time but whatever who knows I may be wrong but I definately have a game from 98 that is IDENTICAL to Halo. You guys are probably right but I'll look for it any how and if I find it I'll post pics.
