Hammerhead sharks can reproduce asexually?

I would tend to believe that most species of female sharks are capable of storing sperm for entended periods of time.

Sounds like they are capable, just a question of how long.
 
Every bamboo 'virgin' birth was proven wrong.
They (of all species) hold sperm the longest (up to 7 years is recorded). Each time if you dig far enough back, the female who laid eggs that hatched had been with a male at some point.

Although, I should point out female sharks will lay eggs that are infertile all the time.
