What most of yu guys have said is really nice and its not for sure that he will go into buisness he really want to and it was up on my wall in a second looks great right next to the tank
 
yep, everyone has their own opinion... if im going to be truthful, id have to say my 1st impression was...well, i was not overly impressed...

Thats not to say that he wont do well...and that he is not a great artist...different strokes fo different folks...

Like someone has already said... Art exists on many levels...

I think there is alot of detail we cant see. The background looks as though its very intricate and precise! I think another picture showing the detail would help persuade some opinions.

How can you tell if its very skilled or not? You aren't an artist, your mother is. Thats like me saying my father is a pro basketball player and therefore I know everything about being a skilled basketball player.

That logic is a bit flawed.

I have drawings of fish that vary greatly from that so does that mean that its bad? NO. Art isn't all supposed to be the same, thats the beauty. Each artist has their own style. If all art was the same then it wouldn't be art.
