So I've heard rumors that you can teach a black ghost knife to eat out of your hand. Has anyone else heard this? If so anyone tried? I'd like to do it but I have no idea how or where to start. Any suggestions welcome.

no i think that the knife would get spooked quite easy

Actually, they're probably one of the easiest fish to train to hand feed... I've been keeping them for 15 years, and all of them that I've kept (about 10) have hand-fed. All that I've ever had to do is reach my hand in their tank and hold the food item up to their head. Bloodworms work well. Most of the time you can get them to do it on the first try.

I agree with you BGG they are very easy to teach i had a 40cm BGKF and it only toke me a few days to teach it to come to the surface and take a Worms from my hand.

PICS!!!! I love to see 'em after they pass a foot in length. :D

I agree with BGG my 10" Ghost learned very quikly using frozen brine, just by cupping the food in yuor hand and holding it under water. low light seemed to help the process.

Live earthworms and hold real still.

but i believe it's won't be that easy.....
Well, for people that have tried and can speak from experience, it generally is. ;)
