if you get as much enjoyment out of your fish as i do mine then yes it is definitely worth it! I plan on dropping some more dough on them in the next couple of months! I got a 750 gal pond in the works for them, and eventually if i ever get a place of my own an outdoor heated wooden tank with viewing windows like several i have seen in here!

i enjoy my fish especially when i feed the shovelnose i have to video tape it he smashes his face in the glass it funny

my lima has a permanent upturned snout due to smashing into the side of the tank! didn't eat for 2 months because of it! finally now that my smaller one is now the bigger one he is eating again, but still not too good!

i think shovelnose get excited when there are feeders in the tank

I learned the hard way, i dont' feed my fish feeders from the store anymore unless they are quarantined first. 2 weeks gives them a clean bill of health to get eaten lol! I trap minnows in baskets in the rivers around here. I get some nice large white suckers sometimes up to 14" which my catfish will readily eat 2 or 3 at a time!
