Hand Feeding Bichir

yea u can hand feed bichirs i do it with krill all the time cuz the only way they will eat it once it hits the ground they arnt interested in it any more u just got to watch out if they miss cuz depending on the bichir it can hurt a lot.......

the only time i can hand feed my sen is when he is in the process of breaching for air lol. other than that i have to use a wooden skewer to get food to him.

I hand feed my Senegal-Nimrod with both Krill and Massivore (He did bite me once thinking it was Massivore) However, my Endlicheri-Parvo avoids my hand at all costs.....If I was brave enough I could teach my bichir to catch Krill MID-AIR
I just never heard or seen anyone hand feed a bichirs on the surface so I thought it was pretty exciting to see my 19" teugelsi eat out of my hands. Once in awhile my my congicus, senegal, endli, and lapradei will also come up to snatch food. I didn't know bichirs were such socialable fish and I have a renew love for the bichirs again.

Haven't tried hand feeding yet but sometimes my Sens will let me pet them or rub against my hand while I'm vacuuming.
