What do you guys hand feed yours? I'm curious because I generally use shrimp but it's obviously MUCH better to get them on a varied diet. And have you had any luck with Massivore pellets?

Mine will take some freeze dried krill, spits out the Omega One stuff, and frozen tilapia.

Mine took massivore pellets last night but spit them out because they were too big....that's my new mission: to get my eel on pellets, lol. Thats one feat I haven't conquered in the fish world.

I have an elipsifer. He was my first eel and the coolest fish I have ever owned. He's very interested in his surroundings and loves to eat. I use to hand feed mine. When he was small he would sometimes miss and grab my palm and start twisting. I thought once he was bigger he might do damage.
He hasn't been too difficult. When I first got him he would only eat blood worms, then one day he started eating pellets.

So, I've had this fire eel for about a 6 months and have never seen him eat. Finally I tried some earth worms and WOW!!!! he eats them out of my hand. This fish just got 1000 x's more cool. The black spotted eel already eats anything out of my hand but this is a milestone for the fire eel! YES!
