Hand feeding

I entertained the idea before I had one of my piranha bite the air hose to my bubble wall in half trying to catch a gold fish.

The guy I got my fish froms dad had a single piranha in a large tank who was hand fed and got pet reguarly. It was all good until someone came in and screamed one time. The fish freaked out and bit the middle of his hand for 30 stiches.

Ooooh! See that's what I want my shoal to do (minus the biting hand part) be able to be pet and hand fed. Do you remember what kind of piranha it was, and how long he had it.

RBP, had to have been several years of him keeping it since it was a baby when he got it.
 
I feed all my rbp babies by hand till bout 4-5". IMO it makes way calmer fish when their muture. Their not skittish or scared n it won't take the killer out of them!my fish will destroy a fish twice their size!they reconize the hand that feeds em not the hand as feed! I have my arms in tanks almost everyday n they don't freak out or try to bite. I know a guy that catches his mature rbp by hand no net!
 
o come on cb what ya got to bring me into this lol ya guys he talkin about me cheaper to get bit than to buy a net every time but just so ya guys know rbps are not blood thirsty fish they can be just like an oscar or a cat fish. if ya starve them ya ya gona get bit but mine get fed every other day. i have hand fed them. and i do pet mine as well they actualy rub up against my arm and hand when i clean thier tank. imo they are like pit bulls if braught up as killers then that what they be but if ya work with them then they like a lil puppy. i have been bit befor they bite so clean that ya dont know it till ya feel it burning. im getting a gatf and gona do the same with it as well i know i crazzy bla bla bla. you guys can have your opinion and i will have my experiances and facts.
 
RPB's are the pussy cats of the Piranha world, I am waiting to see if there is anyone that can pet their mature Rhom or other solitary Piranha.

ya cb i know seen it posted about no net and had to show off lol . o and i wuld def pet a rhom if i had one ya havt to respect the fish not fear it lol. ya def not imposible to do. especily if ya start young they get used to ya.
