We're hitting the Caribbean coast (Puerto Viejo and Tortuguero) and then Arenal Volcano this trip. We did the central Pacific coast (Jaco, Manuel Antonio) and Monteverde cloud forest our first trip in 2004.

I was born in Carbondale, southern Illinois. I left the state when I was 2 1/2 though. The only thing that binds me to the area is that I'm a St. Louis Cardinals fan. Yes, they are choking! :(

That's Tabacon Hot Springs, right? We'll be going there, but not staying at the Tabacon Hot Springs resort. We're staying at a cheaper hotel nearby. Regarding the older version of Iheartfishes (who loves to discuss her yeast infection), I suspect that there will be yeasty water there, but it will be in my bottles of Imperial, Pilsen, or Bavaria beer. :D
