It must be nice just the same...reminds me of an area in Maine we spent a week in a few years ago.There was a huge lake with hundreds of small islands of different sizes on it.Some were barely big enough for the cabins that were on them.

Yes, it is really nice. It has no electricity so it's a little break from the real world. I'm sure I'll be posting pictures of the trip later, hopefully with some big fish too!
Yesterday we went to visit the graves of my father and uncles who were WW2 vets and put some flags and flowers on them, we also went to one of my grandfathers graves who was a WW1 vet. Today we'll just chill and BBQ in the back yard.

Well I managed to not get stuck at work so I'm taking my son to see the battleship USS New Jersey.
Getting ready to raise the flags (US Flag, All-Services Support, and POW-MIA). Making my family french toast, eggs, bacon, and hash browns to thank them for their prayers, wishes, and worries while I was serving overseas. We're having some friends over for a pool party and BBQ (already have the smoker working up 8 racks of ribs and a brisket). Then, I'm calling some buddies I served with to catch up on events before we all go into BBQ food coma.
I got stuck at two jobs. And Mike's going to a pig and bear roast!! 
it's not ffaaaiiiiirrrrrr........ I told him that if I didn't get any bear he'd better just not come home at all....

Have a great Memorial day... i will watch the parade in this little country town as i honor all those who gave the ultimate.. so we could remain free ........then i will enjoy a small BBQ gathering.. thank you vets and service men and women !!!! .. you are what this holiday is about...
Wow,eight racks of ribs!..I could take out a good portion of that all by myself.That bear roast sounds interesting .
