My grandpa had somethin to do with the navy. Unfortunately he died when my mom was little from diabetes. My grandma burned all the pictures with him in it so to this day I've never seen a picture of him. Couldn't even hazard a guess as to what he looks like. Fat, skinny, bald, short, tall, who knows...

That's awesome. When I was in the Navy, I LOVED seeing old folks with "WWII survivor" hats on. I would always ask them to share their stories. I also had the privilege of living next door to an old WWII vet for a few years while I was on active duty and he would share his sea stories with me.

LOTS of good stuff from the guys that saved the world ... I DONT WANT TO GO OFF ON A RANT ...BUT...most people these days HAVE NO CLUE ...about the extent of the evil that hitler was about....HE gassed 6 MILLION PEOPLE...for their religion not to mention the japanese.... not nearly as evil ....but they did side with him
