We also wore black boots and OD fatigues. They rolled out BDU's towards the end, I liked them alot, still starched but very cool looking.
PAAALEEEASE, even my little 5.6" girlfriend can drive an MRAP....
A REAL man humps a 100 lbs a gear up and down mountains with no food or sleep for days then has to stage his gear and stalk for hours on end then sit in pos for even more days with either the cold or heat killing you then take a shot then stalk back out and hope extract is on time.
Heh, I stared in BDUs and blacks. They rolled out ACUs right after I finished AIT. They were more comfortable and easier to take care of, but looked frumpy as hell. Once I became a drill sergeant I started starching and pressing them anyway. IDGAF about 670-1 lmao... I was a drill, I wanted to look sharp!

Thank you, was my pleasure to serve, I was in different heat, IO on the flight deck of a air craft carrier.crazy stuff, our HVAC system was jet blast, loved it but would not do it again.
