Hard decision!!!

If u dont divide say good bye to him. The female dovii and RD will kill him.

if they hate each other in this tank they're going to hate each other in the next tank. Yours best bet is to either remove something or add another fish to spread out the aggression. I'd suggest a bigger tank with 4-6 fish total.

you probably need more fish in the tank.
3 aggressive fish is begging for a death.

i'd probably go with 1 really big fish
and then the rest smaller

you'd probably need some dithers to.

what made you decide to get a female dovii?

She was an awesome deal when I got her. I will divide the tank up, and add some of my larger cichlids to the mix as well. Thanks all, couldn't I take the other two out for a half an hour and let my festea settle in, then add them? It sounds alot easier to me. and I will also add more fish.?:irked:

mate - you have to devide that tank up for sure. let the festae heal and get his 'mojo' back and then decide what you wanna do then. you might be able to get them to all get along once you remove the devider, but as stated by a few others already, i would add a couple of other similar sized fish in the mix to level out aggression. 3 large fish rarely works in a tank

With younger fish somethimes rearranging the tank helps but yours are too big and i am sure youve had the rd and dovii together for a while because they dont BEAT on each other..

adding dithers or dividing the tank are the best options (the ladder being the better choice)

No derailment intended, But you never stated using a ladder was a decision...:screwy:
