There is also a color variation of Gold Saums where the tails are white often times referred to as a White Saum as well. Don't know maybe that was what he was talking about.

Here's my Gold Saum though.
Nice GT mate!
The GT your talking about with the white tipping on fins! is the same as the 1 i was talking about! Also known as Silverseam Aequidens!!

I know what your talking about the True Green Terror it has white tipped fins and it scale pattern is the reverse of the Gold Saum. However there is a color variation of the Gold Saum with white tipped fins sometimes referred to as Silver/White Saum. Breeding of 2 Gold Saums produces this color variation on occasion. Sometimes one or all the fry have the white tipped fins. Several members have bred Gold Saums and got Silver/White Saums. As matter of fact one documented the fry till they reached around 6 inches and was trying to breed more Silver/White Saum's by breeding his grow outs as he finds them more attractive than the regular Saum's, but prfers the body shape of a Gold Saum than a True Green Terror. That's why I said there is also a variation of Gold Saums called White Saums. I wasn't disputing the fact that there is a True Green Terror and it is sometimes referred to as White Saum.

These are all really nice looking fish, I don't have any pics on this computer to contribute but I'll try to get some new shots of mine later tonight.

Cich where did you get the White? I can't find any around here and I've been looking for a while.

I don't care how many threads like this there are, a good looking GT is IMO one of the best looking cichlids in the world.

I randomly found it at a petland discounts store in NYC. Ive been looking for one for a long time and finally stumbled upon this one. He or she (although im leaning towards a she) was about 3 inches when I got her. A little more than I wanted to pay @ $18 but I figured if Ive been looking for this long, im not letting this one go. Was the only one in the tank. If I see another one ill let you know. Im always in all the petlands checking their stock.

Some really nice GT's!

Thanks, I would have dropped 18 for it considering how hard they are to come by. Let me know if you see any more.
