Ok I don’t know if this is in the right place or not but here it gos I live on a farm and use well water witch is vary hard dos any one have any tricks to make it softer
thanks

try investing in a reverse osmosis if you are really concerned about hard water which may cost about $200-$300. i personally also have hard water and slowly let my fish adapt to the water chemistry

Yes a Reverse Osmosis filter is a good option.

Depending on how hard the water is and what species you have, they may be able to adapt fine.

The hard water has minerals (mostly calcium) dissolved in it. To make it 'soft' you have to somehow remove these minerals.

Another option is to catch rainwater (VERY soft) from your roof, and mix that with the hard wellwater to get some medium water.

4th option is to specialise in African Rift Lake chiclids and cats. They wil love the water.

Cheers

Ian

You can use peat moss to soften the water. It is the best natural way to do it.
