i want to be your friend...you need help just ask... you just need better self esteem...if you like yourself , everyone else will like you too.. and the few who don't you won't miss or need anyway....and also .. after reading your other thread... i think you did fairly well getting a response.. that question is a little tricky for most fishkeepers unless they know their plants pretty well.. even then most of them would have to investigate this question, they would not be able to just answer off the top of their head..

There comes a point in your life when you realize:

Who matters,

Who never did,

Who won't anymore...

And who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past,

there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
 
i can relate to ya tropical. when i first joined MFK i threw up 1 or 2 threads (i dont remember :-P ) which to this day still havent gotten a response.. however of late my newer threads have gained numerous replies and recommendations. as everyone in the earlier posts were informing its really how you put your stuff out there. being familiar with people definitely helps as well.. and going along with MFK at its heart.. the more pictures.. the better :-P everyone flocks to images.. we're like moths to street lamps :-P
as a side note. very few MFK'rs are out to judge.. if you're looking for friends you're in the right spot, all ya gotta do is be open and patient :-D i've learned there are tons nice and friendly people here.. ya just gotta find them

meh, just move on to the next. they can't all make 1000+ views, 10 pages long

Did you forget to add a couple words in there? I honestly don't understand that statement. When you say I, is that me? should the and after mfk be or?


What I was trying to explain is that infractions do not bother me. I do try and censor myself, but not in fear of infraction or banishment. I've never been one to let the fear of reprimanding
control how I live my life. Growing up, when I got grounded or beat it didn't change what I did. The reason I dont kill people isnt because its one of the ten commandments, it's because I personally feel its wrong.
I live by my own standards. I will apologize for calling that person a retard though. I know it wasn't PC.

Enough derailing. Lets move on past the infraction theory in regards to member participation.

Its always hit or miss with threads... the majority of my threads used to get a few answers till i started my paludarium thread that exploded and now kinda died since i haven't been updating...

So really depends on what the content is about, and whether or not there is a need to keep replying... in some cases people keep adding to their threads so people come back for more, where as others let it die once they feel their questions have been answered and don't really bother about it...

Then there are obviously questions that people may not be able to answer and disappear long before some one with knowledge come around... i guess what i am trying to say is, it really comes down to whether or not your thread is entertaining enough for people to keep coming back for more...

Take for example that 1000+ Gallon Paludarium, that thread keeps randomly popping back up with people asking for updates even though the poster himself is probably too busy living to keep updating it... so really just a game of hit and miss in most cases...
