Yeah,could be as I don't recall him mentioning shipping in his ad so I did not bother contacting him about it.
I would have been crushed as well and I know what you mean about hoarding fish and unexpected calamities coming up.
So you bought three,do you think this species does better in a group?
I don't know. Without looking it up, it's a Bagridae, they are rarely friendly to their kin. But I bought 3 because of looking for them for 8 years and never finding them until early this year. Yet, they were not cheap enough at $50-$75 to buy a dozen. I would, believe me!

Anyhow, mine have not kept together in their 240 gal but neither were beating each other up. They co-existed rather peacefully, perhaps in part because they are hiders.

This photo that I found during my web search also had me wondering if they were a shoaling cat.
