Could I get about 6 at a fairly good price? Has anyone here seen them for sale? at what cost?, how big?

My Pink Tail Chalceus is very mellow (not skiddish). I've never seen him act aggressively toward any of his tankmates (Five 5" Red Hooks, Eight 3" Clown Loaches, Four 3" Balas and two 4" Tiger O's). He eats freeze dried krill and pellets. He's a fast swimmer...it seems like he hits pellets before they touch the water. He's not very active. He kinda just hoovers at the surface, but he's a cool fish. I paid $8 for him when he was around 3". I've had him for 3 months and he's around 6" now.

only aggressive twords each other so get a big group but like said they eat just about anything and can be skidish

Glad somebody bumped this, I am looking at getting one.

I have two. Did not know what they were till I saw this posting, so thankyou. They are skittish. They dont bother any of my small fish, IE barbs, gourami'. They are in a 100 gallon tank with 30 other fish. ( Balas, baby ID,) I do make sure they eat when feeding the group. They have learned that I will put in a certain spot just for them until they are done. Mine do not fight between themselves. Not sure about more than two but you can always try. I would not reccomend buying some now and more later. That might cause territory problems. Pick a number and keep fingers crossed. I have not seen them in Canadian LFS for a long time.
