HAS ANYBODY ORDERED GLASS TANKS FROM BIG APPLE HERPS?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ive only had my tank for 3 weeks from glasscages but in no way in my mind is it nothing but quality. the top is supported well with 2 large glass crossbraces. id say its better quality then my marineland 125g tank. very heavy duty. and after u stain their oak bases, which are good cost also, they look like a $2000.00 piece .

You live in Rome, NY? Not too far from me at all. How did you handle delivery from glasscages? how much was shipping?

yea only 35 miles. i own a moving and storage company so i had a truck and equipment to move it. i went to white plains ,ny to pick it up. about 3.5 hours. cost $160.00 for shipping of tank and stand. it weighted about 650lbs. wouldve cost $650.00 to have it delivered to my house.

yeah he said that glasscages prices were right, but there tank quality and the way thy are built not to do it, so i'm confused now, I just want a quality tank for cheap

I got two 180Gal from glasscages about three years ago and I have no problem with them at all. Give them a try price is really good too. I am saving up for the 500gal at this time. I think I can get the 500gal in May from them.

I also have a glass cages 300 gallon aquarium and I am very happy with it. I have had it for about a year now and I have had absolutely no problems with it. After a mix up with delivery (they were not able to get it loaded onto the delivery truck due to the loader getting sick) they had the tank shipped to a local spot for me for the same amount it was going to cost me to have it shipped 250 miles away.

I can't say enough good things about them and my next large tank will be from them as well.

i woulda bought a bigger tank but i couldnt fit it in the house.:D

actually thats not true. i coulda fit their 375 96x36x25 in the house but they dont make a stand for it and i didnt want to make 1.

Thanks for responding. Its tough to find reasonably priced big tanks up here! I'm sure I don't have to tell you about trying to find big tanks on craigslist up here (very hit or miss).

When I buy my house glasscages seems to be the cheapest way to get a nice big tank, I'll just have to drive to white plains to get it!
