i was cleaning my tank last night and got my hand under a large piece of wood and my johanna was under it. didnt think much of it until afterwards but got to wondering if pike were aggressive to us at all? the only tank ive been leary of befor was one that contained a 13 inch male dovii that sliced me up good once and a 16 inch butti that wanted me bad but never had the pleasure. so whos been bitten by a pike and by what kind and size??

Yes, but not by my Johannas. They tend to get a good look at things before they bite them. I posted this story a week or two ago about my belly crawlers...lol.

"For those that think belly crawlers are boring pikes, I got a little suprise last night. I was feeding some homemade frozen food, and was holding a 3" long piece in the tank to let everyone get a chance to get some before the pikes took off with it. Well, one of the female belly crawlers decided she'd like the giant worm outside of the water better. So she launched herself out of the water and bit my pinky! No damage done, of course. My pinky is bigger than her mouth. It was just funny...I saw her looking at my hand, then, before I even had time to react, she was up and out!"

My old Ven bit me didn't hurt he was only 4''

I had a tank full of Parrot fish and they would attack my hand anytime I put it in the tank. Other than that, only the playful nibble. Oh yeah, got rid of the s.o.b. parrots.
