Has anyone bred Flower rays?

There is no known proof of flowers bred in captivity. I heard a story of a large female flower that was brought into a facility in SA and was already pregnant and popped the pups probably due to stress and they didnt make it but that doesn't count for captive bred to me but also just a rumor I heard but from a reliable source...

There have been problems before with some twits having adult rays, buying young ones and then claiming to have bred them, so these days more is needed than just anecdotal stories.

I fell out of my chair laughing when I read this. I wouldn't put it past some people.

This is why they are near impossible to captive breed. The mear hobbiest does not have this
"Pond is about 20' by 14' by 4.5'. Filtering thru' a sump of about 8' by 4' by 5' dept with 4 compartments. Water from last compartment then flow thru' a 20' by 2' by 3' long drain with many plants back to the pond.

Also connect a pump from sump directly to the bottom of pond for under current flow. Rays love under current.

Water PH is about 6.8 to 7.0
No PUB water top or change at all, usually by drain water collected from the roof.
Bare bottom for the pond. Ponds are run by 3 units of Tsurumi pumps [12ooo liter]"

To my knowledge no one had ever bred flower rays before, Tigers rays yes have been bred in captivity.

My Sakura did. Birth to ONE pup but didn't not make it.
Come October 09....hope my sakuras will sing again.
Anyway, l kept sakuras and tigers because they are beautiful rays.
Able to breed is a bonus and is not what i am hoping to have.
