Hi everyone, I think I hav a pair and was wondering wat signs show an actual pair and how to breed them. Plus any other info would b appreciated.
By the way I posted the link on here instead of breeding because nobody really knows.

I actually find it funny that more people dont breed Oscars. The stores around me constantly go through them (high demand?) and they always are on the higher side in price for babies compared to other cichlids. That alone is funny since you cant even give away an adult. Ive seen 2" Oscars sell for $10-$12 and other cichlids that seem less common and more colorful only going for $5-$7 in the same size range. Hope yours turn out to be a pair!

I always wonder the same thing!!

12" long tail and an 8-10 wild
I'm guessing the female is the wild and the longfin is the male.
I have had them for almost a yr, and they hav never flared their gills or lip lock before

My pair tightened up on their distance from each other before spawning. The male's head took on a green cast just before both O's dropped their gonadal tubes. The pair cleaned all the gravel away from the glass bottom next to a large rock I placed in the tank for them to spawn on. All the time they were cleaning, the pair chased all other fish to the other side of the tank. After spawning, the female stayed with the eggs while the male kept the tankmates on the far side of the tank.
