These past few days the wild Oscar has been laying in the bottom corner of the tank and not eating while the longfin has been acting normal. Does this mean anything?

My female stops eating and will kind of lay on her side, this i assume is while she is making eggs, mine are a rare F1 pair of bahia red tails you can find my thread on here but it wont be very helpful because i dont have a camera. I sent a friend a pic of them circling their eggs they laid the other day so im hoping he will post it for me. I have mine a 1018 gallon pond. When i had my first pair they were in a 125 but it was too small and i recommend another oscar be in there so you can truly see if they have paired. I keep two red oscars in with my bahias(along with others) it takes all the aggression the male gives the female and spreads it on their tank mates(he almost killed her because she wasnt ready to spawn when i had them alone). He even nails the stingray when he gets too close and he's an 18" beast.
