I wouldn't think a ray would make for good eating

i catch and eat Batrays all the time. you cut off and eat the whole wings. its kinda muddy like catfish. but a whole lot if boneless meat cause the wings are all muscle..,now a fresh water motoro? can't imagine that even being worth the effort. id try it tho.

bichar hot dog anyone?

My dad had a pool of Oscars in the Philippines when he was younger.
After a few beers one day, he fished them out with my uncle and threw them on the grill hahaha.
He said it doesn't taste very good...

Ive always hated the taste of fish I can't stand the taste fish sticks and ketchup mixed together or any other kind of fish, smoked salmon is ok though.

fishsticks are the worst! I cannot stamd them. Fish has to be fresh to taste any good. Like 2 day old max. Also depends how its cooked!

probably the red horse they poured all over it on the grill that made it taste so bad. Haha

Yeah for some reason the idea of eating whats been in your tank (for possibly years?) just seems odd. These are pets at that point, granted I got not problem with the idea of eating wild caught anything anyone's mentioned so far. Also idk why but the pic of the arowana gave me chills.

Since the original post was about eating fish rather than fish husbandry I moved it to a more appropriate forum. Bon appétit...

The presentation on that aro dish was quite nice, actually. I can understand why it makes keepers uncomfortable, though, since people often get these as showcase animals.

I agree to. My shock was with how many people flipped out.

The pic of the big fh with the kok was wierd!
