That's the problem. With snakes, there's really not much debate as to what can be defined as "venomous" or not - even with rear-fanged snakes, it's fairly cut and dry. With lizards though, there's a lot more gray area, and it'd be far too complicated to sort through what was where if there was a venomous category for lizards.

There is actually quite the debate on what constitutes a Venomous Snake........The grey area is quite large and subject to interpretation......

That's what I mean. The debate over the grey area would cause too much confusion over where to categorize each lizard would cause too much trouble.

but then, if they weren't classified as venomous, they would be somewhere in the lizards section...

I don't really see an issue with this; generally all venomous reptiles either are or are not legal to own in any given state, so for convenience it's probably easier to bundle everything like that into a single listing.
Here's what DOES bother me about the kingsnake listings though.
1. There is no separate skinks listing.
and 2. Tegu's and Monitors are bundled together but other teiids are not. For example, a Caiman Lizard would have to be listed in the "Other Lizards" section even though they are extremely closely related to Tegus, while Monitors and Tegus are completely unrelated. If someone was vending a "False Monitor" I'm not even sure if that could righfully go in the Tegu/Monitor section.

these are all valid points.

If you are looking for something that you are not clear where it would go then just use the search function. Even if you do know where it would be, it will save you some time sorting through all the other postings.

I was going to say this as well, but be careful because sometimes it misses some or ppl use different titles in the add.
