has anyone ever been bit?

has anyone ever been bit by there gar in all there time of fish keeping? When ever i do the tank change he comes right up too me and i pet him no problem but the feeder tank is right next to his when he sees me go for it he goes nuts for the fish... and when his still hungy he will sit in the corner so i know he wants more when hes full he goes to the other side or sits on the bottom and looks at me


has anyone ever been bit? maybe on accident?

im a big guy almost wierd to say I get scared by this little 10-11 inch fish..

I took a bite on the thumb a few years back while trying to get a gator gar off the hook. The fish was only about a foot and a half but it scratched and jabbed me pretty good.

My 20" florida gar wouldn't dare. It loves me too much! Would also let me stroke it.

my guy (about 14"s) loves to be pet, but actually took a snap at me while i was feeding the ray, and put a nice couple of holes right through my thumb nail. looked like a shark attack in the water. he bites all the time, just ussually not that badly
