has anyone ever bred african butterfly fish ?

Try chunks of frozen blood worms cause they float for a while. I had two of them really cool lil fish. One jumped out an the was killed by a young Dat. Mine were about 3" at most I heard they can get up to 5". Id love to see one that size if any one has one.

to ancer the origanal question yes it is posable to breed them but sexting is quite hard due to the factor of fin nipping the only visual way to tell is thare anal fin males have a curved anal fin as females have a more straighten one thay lay eggs the eggs need to be taken out or kept seprit from the parents after fetelised due to the fact the mother and other fish will eat them the fry are hard to feed needing extreamly small food like babby brine shrimp and getting them to eat is a chalinge in itself this is all i got from reasherch thru 30 or so sites on yahoo doing more resherch to figure out the best ways to breed them if you want add me and we cen talk about this more
