Another thing to add...

My wife (actually fiancee) is not yet a citizen of the U.S. rather a permenant resident. She cannot leave the U.S. for more then a year at a time. People get around that by staying out off the country awhile and then coming back for a few weeks then leaving again...

Like I said chances are I wont be able, but Im sitting in my cubicle with a shirt and tie and thinking...what if...
your right on that but like you said your going to be there 2yrs MAX... she can get a re-entry permit 2yrs max that she might be able to use you can check that out with the INS.

this only happens once in your life. Do you want to look bad and wonder what if i did live in mexico for awhile i wonder what would have happened

That is pretty much my whole argument right now with her. We do have an 11 month old so that does complicate things a bit.

Id just hate to wonder.."what it..."

Does she not want to go? (you said something about "argument")

She does but she doesnt think its practical and like I said she is in nursing school and doesnt want to quit that. I told her she could always go back if she cant go to school down there but...women...

I cant go alone cause she speaks Spanish and I dont.

I live 2 miles from Mexico, we spend about one month a year near Monterrey, living is cheap, food is good, fishing is great. I love Mexico, btw my wife is a permanent resident as well.

When I retire I will move to Mexico, no doubt about it.

It is not MS-13 you need to watch out for, you watch too much TV, it is the Zetas.........they are bad.

Are you running into problems with coming back and forth with your wifes status?

never a problem at the land borders, you will be flying, you will need passports

Hmm....Never lived in Mexico, but I do love Taco Bell, at least while it's going in. That's enough information for me to recommend you move to Mexico. I sure would hate it if you weren't there for my Indy trips though.

I don't know about the whole living in Mexico thing. I have found that places that are fun to visit, aren't much fun to live in.
