Some one i know just bought another one of these Sugar Gliders.. the new male baby is 9 weeks old... and she has a young female too.. i just think they are so cute... anyone else own any... lets hear about them and pics too if you have them... No but I have seen lots of them at expos. They are really great animals.
 
I don't have pics of the two I owned because it was ages ago, but in my early teens I had two sugar gliders. One was a male named Bobby, bottle raised and thus super friendly if not a bit socially maladjusted. The other, Bubblegum, came from a colony at a zoo I was volunteering at; the other gliders kept mauling her, to the point that her face was severely scarred up, and they decided to place her with me. They were fun little critters to have, if not a bit high maintenence (but what exotic pet isn't?). When Bubblegum passed from old age we placed Bobby with someone who could offer him more one on one. Tough to give him up but a good decision; he was extremely well loved and cared for until he, too, eventually passed on. Somewhere I think I still have the Christmas cards she made with his face on 'em.

Thats a sweet story... i loved their names too... do you remember what they eat.. what is the average life span...
 
i dont have one but my friend does they are soooo adorable, and make great pets when socialized correctly, i think they eat mainly fruits with some nuts mixed in but totally not sure on that one, and i think they live like 8yrs or so

I remember reading about chefjamesscott having some. My cousin had two about 8 years ago. They loved sleeping in hoodies.
