If you have ever shipped a monster tank 400 plus gallons, pls give me a little info.

1. I live in Toronto Canada and would like to ship some monster tanks from California.

2. What would be the best and most cost effective way to ship these tanks.

3. If you have had experience with shipping, were there any problems or hidden cost ???

4. Is there anything you would have done different ???

5. PLS ADD ANYTHING ELSE I MAY HAVE MISSED, OPEN FORUM !

6. The tanks I want to ship are an 800 gallon and a 600 gallon from Littleton California, I havent called a shipping company yet but if its a few grand it would still be worth it to me.

it is normally by freight, but even cost effective the prices are through the roof, around 6-800 american dollars

I've looked into shipping monster fish and even going with the cheapest freight possible it is going to cost you around 1000-1500 dollars. that not including what it costs to get a tank ready to be shipped, plus it is hard to get insurance on a big fish tank

from my understanding, you can't just ship stuff via international without custom inspections and approvals. you might want to get with Canadian customs first to see.

Is the person going to crate it up for you? All trucking companies will not accept cargo if not properly packaged for shipping.

Check with Concord Trucking located in Fairport Harbor, OHIO...Ask for MIKE MICSKY or BOB MICSKY.....Tell them Mike sent you....

moving them yourself is generally less expensive if you have the time.
