Has anyone ever tried Repairing scratches.....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Okay, I went looking around HD tonight when getting some GE I 100% Silicone for W/D adn Found this stuff...

This Stuff looks like it may be the Hidden Key to Deep Scratch coverup on aquariums.... It says that it's Dishwasher safe and I wil have to confirm via a phone call to the mfr tomorrow but if it's good with dishes and drnking glasses then why wouldn't it be fine for inside aqauriums?

Take a look...

I looked into the ingredient "Cyanoacrylate" and it's in the same glue that is used to glue Marine Frags together so it should be perfectly safe for an aquarium.....

Thoughts?

When you apply it, be sure the scratch itself is 100% clean (clean with alcohol or something)

Use a scrap piece of glass to try it out :)

I've been wanting to try something like this. ^ good point on making sure the scratch is clean! Judging by the MSDS I'd be willing to try it.

Befor and after pics would be great. Next time the 75 gal gets taken down i want to do something about the sratches
