Has anyone ever tried Repairing scratches.....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well here is progress so far.

I actually used a differnt approach to address this issue.

I used plastic polish and tooth brushes...... One to rub in the compound and one to buff off the dried compound....

Here is the progress so far...

Not bad huh?

maybe application in the crack with the super glue and then quickly surface scrape/tooling with a clean razor blade to make sure it stays in the crack? I've never tried, but it sounds interesting. I might scratch some glass today and test that out.

LMAO- You could! I wouldn't advise it if it's glass on an aquarium.... :D

Let me know how it goes if you do end uop doing it...

I have two tanks with scratches. I might try the super glue method and compare.

Well actaully what I did was try the superglue, let it dry, scrap the the extra off with a Razor and buffed. but that was only on half of that scratch.... If I were to do it again, I would lay the tank on it's side, so that the scratched glass is level and apply the glue that way. I would let it dry and then try to buff that out instead of scraping off the extra first. It just seemed that scraping it off took to much of it away...

SO try both and see what works best buty I highly recommend this process in one way or another. BUt, be prepared to use some elbow grease....
