Has anyone ever tried to put a Fahaka in with piranhas?

Bro ... no offense intended ... but ... weren't you the guy who posted about crossing a fahaka with a wolf fish? I mean ... do do have some kinda weird fascination with fahakas or are you just looking for a reaction?

I don't know how Fahakas behave, but if it's anything like your usual puffer, I wouldn't want to see those tiny baby piranhas after a couple of hours with it.

im going to have to go on the differ and say yes its possible. i had a 8 inch pike cichlid in with 14 rpbs that were all around 5-6 inches for a couple years and the ps would not go close to the pike or he would come out and chase them away. right now i have a fahaka with a pike cichlid and a african pike (odoe) and 2 short beak gars and 4 small bristlenose plecos and he hasnt touched them. now it could be because i make sure there all fed and it could also be a matter of time. ive also heard of people saying they have had fahakas that would destroy anything in the tank with them and some dont bother. i think i have a wussy fahaka. my buddy had a 6 inch pignose puffer that would eat a large crayfish in 2 bites including claws buy my 8 inch fahaka will only eat the tail off a large cray and leave the rest.. i think it all goes back to the individual personality of ur puffer.

I kept a 12 inch Oscar with mine for a while to see if they would eat him.

They attacked him a few time en masse but his size and weight scared them off. After a few got body slammed, they ran, and when one or two of the bigger ones ran away the rest were soon to follow. For a few weeks after that they would occaisionally had a go at him in small numbers but he easily scare them off with his superior size and power. His fins were always ****ed up and he looked like **** but they didn't get him. We eventually found him a new home, and m Ps are once again at peace.

I've seen one inch piranha bullied by larger exodons before, it was funny.

if none of this makes sense i blame nyquil...

dude , totally possible...get what the call a "tank divider", with one of these bad boys you can keep raw steak in with p's.
all joking aside ive tried a RBP in my 220g SA cichlid tank and it just f***ED up fins. now the P is in a 50 gal bare tank with a baby pacu...i kinda hope it takes out the pacu before the pacu gets too big though.piranha are fish best enjoyd by themselves.. either as species only or single specimin.you might be ok wiht like an e_cat or a pleco but i wouldnt torture any other fish or try to get a war goin in the tank.:screwy:

GO FOR IT!! i try it with my piranha. if i like a fish i will by it. i put it in the tank with my p's and wait to see what happens. if it gets attacked i take it out and put it in another tank

Why does he want to know, when he himself admits he has none, that it's just out of curiosity?

Well, out of curiosity, I would say that depending on the size of the Fahaka, those p's would be dead. Fahakas are very agressive and lightning quick.

( Strangely I have 2 together that get along well )

With big Piranhas, in a shoal , the fahaka would probably be killed in a gruesome way.

I detest this type of threads and questions, just out of curiosity...
