Has anyone had a blind mbu?

My juvy mbu has stopped jumping up to eat shrimps in his spot ( not literally jumping but swimming up). Now he's wandering the tank, which he never did before and is bumping into things head first. Anyone had a blind fish/mbu? How do I take care of him, separate tank?

Do his eyes appear to look around and follow things normally, like puffers do?

Yes but I saw him run into a clam shell like 3 times in a row

I have a 16" blind mbu. I hand feed him. He responds to light.

Blindness can be a sign of nitrite poisoning. What are the parameters of your water?

Do the test before the wc then again after and post your numbers for both

Will try to do, but wouldn't it be affecting the other tankmates too if it was a nitrite thing? Or mainly just for puffers being a scaleless fish?

Can't do te before hand test since I didn't see that until after I already did my 50% weekly change

puffers do tend to be a tad more sensitive to water quality than many other fish species IME.
