Question time, anyone had two Arowana's in one tank.... any luck? Did they fight? Did you manage to resolve the aggression?

A 2 aro comm will be a massive problem.. usually u can comm a minimum of 5 arowana's. U can try but u need a spare tank if they become agressive and fight u need to have a lot of tank mate to reduce the fights

Currently have one 7/8" rtg with 5 parrot fishes, 1 silver dollar, 1 pleco, 1 leporinus fish and 1 big massive giant gourami.

U reckon adding a similar size red Arowana will be ok?

Thanks

u can try I have seen it works well but u need to have a spare tank just in case they tend to fight a lot plus add in wave maker will help reduce the fights

it is very doable. just prepare to separate in case of fighting.

Why would I wave maker stop them from fighting out of interest....?

Also I'm looking to buy this red Arowana not too sure about he black dot, the shop owner said it's a birth mark since small but I don't want it to be some kind of black spot disease >.< but saying that it does have lovely fins and body o.0

I had two that paired up for years. Every once In a while they would mix it up. When I would try to add a third, they would try to kill it. I have been unsuccessful in trying to achieve this again

So i added my second arowana in, and after a few hours they start the occasional nip on each other's tail... so what I have done now is put in a divider.... I think the fight must of stressed my red as it's got a tiny bit of cloudy eye :(

I have added salt and Heater up... hopefully it will recover soon

I brought two as what I was told were a functional pair. Turned out not to be the case. Had to split them up, eventually had to sell one on. Good luck though keep us posted.
