I raised several silvers together. There was some scrapping between them. Once I saw 2 pair up I removed the others. I kept the paired up couple in a 300 I used as a register counter in my shop. They spawned for me when the male reached about 28-30". The female was smaller.

I had 2 silvers together for about 1.5 years. Every once in a while you would hear a scrap going on but my 15 inch pbass would get in the mix and kinda break it up which seemed odd to me but he/she protected the smaller aro

Either get 1 or 5+. You cant keep having the two divided. They need room to swim or they will be stress

Hey Bruce thanks for replying to my post the other week btw, I do have a pair that gets along a albino silver Arowana and a hi back. I started them off at a smaller size tank with the hi back being a little bit bigger by like 1-2 inches. Hi back created demonance and those two never fight. With that being said I have had attempted this before and this was the first time it worked.

See the pair that don't try to snap at each other because my albino and hi back swim next to each other

This is how they use to swim together when young, kinda swam together like they were one fish. All the other attempts I tried was a disaster but it does work

Thanks York F Tan, my two arowna rtg and red is fighting :(.... I think they are both male with rtg being the dominant one. When they both see each other their lower mouth pushes outward while shut and shows sign of fight if that makes sense? If only one was a female maybe it be easier... looking to purchase another tank now. Which I'm posting a new thread as I'm stuck in a dilemma which tank size to go for.

The sex of both Aros has little baring on the fights. Even confirmed pairs fight. With 2 Aros in the tank it's the luck of the draw. On many occasions peaceful comms will suddenly erupt into brutal fights.
