  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok Thanks guys. Hes with my Arowana in a 125g and they are doing fine. Ill just have to wait and see.. But my 40g is set up just incase .

i tryed a dovii with my fh just because hes mean as they get so i thought the dovii would be able to take the heat. naa i dont think sooo the flower horn signed the eviction notice on the dovii 2 days ago lol

I've got my 5" FH in a 210 with a jag, 3 adult green severums, 5 silver dollars and until very recently when my heater malfunctioned ( :( :( :( ) two adult female Johanna pikes. The flowerhorn is low man on the totem pole. He even gets punked by the severums. :)

trial and error , try to add what fish you want to mix it with in the tank to acclimate before the flowerhorn get in there. i currently have a large female FH with a smaller red devil and trimac in a 135 living just fine.

really depends on the bigger fish... I currently have a larger (10") zzml living w/ a smaller (4") midas in a 90Gallon.

for now they are VERY peaceful, but i know when the midas gets larger, I will need to separate them.

I have a 6" Carpinitis in with my FH but the Carpintis stays beat up &/or hiding. I don't like the situation but the Carpintis clobbers any other fish I've tried to put it with aside from the FH.

i want to clarify: I DO NOT recommend this. my ZZML is exceptionally peaceful to tankmates.

if you wanted to keep another fish w/ your FH, i would suggest a BP.

I keep mine with 3 BPs, a Gt, big Uaru (boss of the tank), Pleco, red sev, big endlii, and a BGK in a 120 for now. all the cichlids are about 5-7"SL and so far not much agro, the sev, uaru, endli, and BGK are moving to a different tank once it's cycled.

Yes, BP is a good choice for fh tankmates.. I keep mine with a bp & no problems so far..
