has anyone ordered fish online??

I order fish online all the time. In fact, I just paid for some today that will be delivered Friday. You will have differences between the vendors and differences in people's overall experiences. Are you looking for recommendations or do you have a site in mind?
 
recommendations wuld be great! ive looked at liveaquaria already.. im mainly wonderin where the best total prices are, and also if the fish do well with the shipment
 
aquabid is a great resource.Many of the folks are hobby breeders just trying to make some room in thier tanks.Ive also bought from cichlids.net and reservestockcichlids.com and got great fish from both.

Where you shop all depends on what type of fish you are looking for. There are lots of great places, vendors and even local hobbyists..
 
I wanna get some south american cichlids.. but what i mainly wana get online is a nice pleco.. im guna check all the places mentioned on here, thanks everybody but if anyone knows a good place to get plecos please let me kno
 
I looked at ordering fish online, but the shipping is brutal. For example tangledupincichlids.com quoted me roughly $70 for next day and $45 for two day. Unfortunately it seems unavoidable unless you want dead fish. I'll have to suck it up and deal with it one of these days since my local shops are awful and don't even seem able to order anything but really common stuff.
