  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
2.5 meters long? That is almost 8 feet, I think the only bony tongues that get that big are arapiamas gigas. I saw a clip where a silver aro about 1/2 that size ate a marmoset monkey (squirrel sized) off a tree branch. Don't rember if it was on Animal Planet or Discovery.

That sounds pretty cool to watch, I didnt know that aro's ate monkeys off trees. I also didnt know they got that effin big, Guess I should watch t.v. more often. Thats cool though.

Hey Guys,

Has anyone seen the documentary on the Australian Arowana where it jumps out of two feet of water and grabs the monkey off the tree and swallows it whole.

The fish was about 2.5 metres long.
What footage .
This fish was a machine.
I saw it on the DISCOVERY CHANNEL a couple of years ago.It snatched the monkey out of the tree. :headbang2

I doubt adult gigas are capable of making leaps from water to grap monkeys???
