I've kept them before. Another name would be Urophthalmus but they're commonly called the "Fake Festea". I had to get rid of mine because it was very aggressive. It is a very under rated cichlid in my opinion.

Mine is about 8." It is pretty nice so far and doesn't really bother my other big cichlids. I agree that they are underrated fish. Best part is they're free in Florida!!!

i use to live in flordia an i'm here right now so i decideing wethere or not to get them. i cough(sp) a 9in one today and neted a buch of .2-3in ones too. any idea of tank size for 1-3 of them and there max size.
