Has anyone witnessed a fish eat another's excrement?

In one of the episodes of Dirty Jobs at Discovery Channel, they went to a fish farm and were farming a fish that I can not remember the species, anyways the pond water overflows to another pond and this secondary pond contains tilapia, these tilapia are not fed anything and eats whatever the main fish poops out. The tilapia are harvested and sold to supermarkets

Lol. I saw this episode. California aqueducts uses algae to filter water. Then they use Carp to keep algae under control. Finally tilapia is used to eat carp turds. Can't eat tilapia too this day because of that episode, and it aired a few years ago.
