WOW!! reading this.. a lot of you people pay insane rates for hydro...:WHOA:
I know that where i'm at it's cheap right now but it's gonna move up but not to the level of some rates i've seen.. Right now i'm paying 4.5cents/kwh
I only have 1 tank but AC has been steady since the end of March and bill is on avg, $130-150 at the most... in the 6 years i've been in my house i haven't had a bill more than $175

I have to run the a/c almost 24/7 due to the 100 plus degree days here in AZ...my electric bills are always much higher in the summer :(

Yup I am in AZ too and my bill last month was around $390 bucks!

My power bill hasn't changed much. I kept than in mind when getting the stuff for my tank. I have a 125g with a fx5 and 2 marineland LED's. The thing that made my power bill drop the most was, turning off my dam PC. I'm a gamer. Turning my PC off and not leaving it on all day dropped my power bill about 100$.

Nope. Lights only on when I feed them or want to look at them. Heaters if off during the summer.

Since having my tanks up and running, I've noticed my electric bill is insane. I have two 75's with 2 filters on each, 200 w heaters, air pump, 48" coralife T5 fixtures, and UV sterilizers. What is causing my bill to be so high. Could it be the lights? Any ideas??
What do consider a high bill in july and august Ours runs between $250 and $300 during these months?

Mine too.
And I was wondering how much the OP's has increased. In his sig he has 2 75's and a 20 gallon. Those tanks would not increase your electric bill that much.
