are you keeping the NGT in brackish water

if its true that they come from brackish water you will need to keep them in brackish to stand any chance of breeding NGT

Im not sure that we would have news of this if they were being bred in farms, atleast not right away. Especially in Asia. It took a while before news came out that they were breeding Clown Loaches, ALtums, Certain Arowana, and now we are getting all these new Rays being bred and hybridized. Breeding "hard to breed" fish is a moneymaker. In Asia its a huge business for farmers that dont have many options to make money. When Discus and Angel Strains started coming out of Asia, no one knew how ther were being produced, and swore they came in deliberately sterile. We now know better. Altums have been bred in Asia a few times now, no video yet or indication if its hormone induced, natural, certain conditions, etc.. Clowns are hormone induced, and that was a recent revelation. All im saying is that its not smart business to let the cat out of the bag...they will try and milk it for all its worth as long as they can. Many breeders keep it in the family...period. ALl the Great Koi breeders for example keep their "secrets" to themselves, and only pass it on to their progeny. Anyways, thats my 2 cents. I don't doubt that we will be breeding Dats at some point, but don't see it happening for a while..

If they didn't keep there secrets other farms would do the same and they would lose money. At the end of the day its a buisness to them.
