I have had 2 fish at diff times make ther way out of the tank in the middle of the night and my dog barked and growled at the bedroom door i had no idea why so i got up just incase and when i get to the kitchen he just stops and looks at the floor i try not to turn the light on at night caus my tsn freeks out bad so when i do so when i move him and look my gar has goten out and another time it was my pacu i also have a sulcata tort and I have lined the cage with plexie glass and he still manages to flip over every time he flips over my dog just sits in front of his cage and crys dont know what i would do with out him.

My dad had a PITA magic act dove that coo-ed all night for a year. We moved to a new house and had our stuff all out of sorts for a few days. When the dog got the chance, he turned that dove into a puff of bloody feathers. Thank you, Mama dog. I hope you have been rewarded in the afterlife. If you hadn't done it, I would have had to.

My cats have alerted me to flying tropical gar on more than one occasion.

My dogs ate one of my fish.

It seems some dogs understand that the owner cares for the animal while others are ready to eat them at will. Hmm. I wonder if it's a difference in how the pet is introduced to the dog. We kept the dove as far away as possible from the dog, which might have been the worst way to associate them.

roflmfao all i can picture with your avatar of yoda is him saying "my fish, one of my dogs ate"

one of my dogs has her own tank. they all enjoy watching all of them with me but my german shepard (diesel) loves my goldfish tank and my Alaskan toy eskimo/pom mix (isis) has her balloon mollie and guppy tank. if anything jumped from my tanks my beagle (charlie) would probably eat it as well and my chinese sharpei (piglet) ignores everything but someone to scratch him. isis has alerted me of escaped rats, rats in trouble hanging from the window seal about to fall outside (still have no clue how that happened), an escaping ninja hamster, and the escaped crayfish episode.. the coolest thing tho is my dog was acting like she wanted my attention and led me over to her tank. the fish seemed stressed so i looked closer and realized the motor had burned out in their filter. i had no idea. there was an ammonia spike and my dog saved all of her fish. if she wouldn't have got me over there i probably would have lost a good portion of them. thats what made it "her tank"

My dog brought me my red devil that jumped out of the tank at 3am.......... after chewing his dorsal fin off. Luckily 2 years later all fins are back and you cant even tell anything ever happened.

Cat saved my hippo tang when the dumb fish jumped out, alerted me to it flopping on the floor. My dog feeds and protects the mice in the house from the cats.

That sounds like a cute story..how does your dog feed and protect the mice..pet mice or house/field mice?
