Hatching Lygodactylus Eggs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just an update. I picked up a cheap 12"x12"x18" Exo Terra off of CL the other week so I'm using it for a brooder for my 3 growing babies. Sadly, one escaped a few days after it hatched and I never found it again. These guys are really tiny and very good escape artists. I had to gecko proof this tank so that they can't escape.

Nothing too fancy. I just wanted to make it easy for me to count them since they're so tiny and hard to find.

awesome set up for the babies man,and yea id bet they would be hard to find once loose, sorry man .

Those are awesome. I once had a group of house geckos that produced babies every once in a while, so I know all about them escaping. Hatchling house geckos are TINY

Thanks guys! :)

I had house geckos once too and they were actually the first lizard I ever bred. And yes, they are tiny escape artists as well!

Thanks man. It sucks that one escaped but there's always trial and error when dealing with these things. I've got 4 more eggs that should hatch any day now so I have made the nursery critter keeper escape proof until they get a little more size and can go in with these 3.
