Thanks for your input and it makes sense ..I guess the main reason nobody feeds the shrimp is not cost effective right.?

Probably. Plus, the water gets nasty after a day or so because of the brine that dies and the egg casings. Have you smelled a jar of brine after like 3 days? I don't recommend it.

Also remember that fry are tiny and they wouldn't be able to eat anything larger than newly hatched brine for at least a week or so.

HUHA!! Thats why i put them in a beta 1gallon tank

I have heard that if u put yeast powder i think it will allow bbs to live longer.

I tried to hatch brine shrimp the other night and failed. I didn't mix the right amount of salt/eggs. And I used no light/heat for it either. I did see some little movement on the bottom. So some did hatch, but like 5%. I'm gonna try again and follow the instructions right this time.

Its better to hatch them and use them up right away. If you want more have about 3 hatching vessels going at once.

Or feed the fry de-encapsukated brine shrimp eggs. You dont have to hatch them. Just feed the powder to the fry as is.

At work we do 5 tbs per gallon, at home I do 3 tps per mason jar. In a gallon you can hatch a TBS of eggs, and at home I hatch about 1/2 a tsp. Light and heat aren't too important, heat does help though.

I actually hatched a bunch of eggs accidentally by spilling a small amount in a 5g bucket filled with brackish water from a WC that I never cleaned up lol.
