Hate these thread but... help me stock my 180

3 red fined sharks
6 apollo sharks

4 kissing gouramis
2 black ghost knife fish
2 spotted floridar gars
1 lima shovel nose

stocking (4)
4 parrot cichlids, 12 silver dollars, 2 tin foil barbs, 1 sevurum, 4 plecos

stocking (5)
2 tiger oscar, 4 flag tails, 1 buttikoferi cichlid

stocking (6)
2 dog face puffers, 2 bird wrasses, 2 blue tangs, 1 hippo tang, 8 lookdowns ( large very strange shoalers )
 
Well, if you need something bigger than 12", that can be kept in a group, I would go back to a Malawi predator tank. Some of those haps can get huge. I know you said no Africans, but it is the only thing I can think of that fits the bill.
 
I love pacus and other large fish, so if your up to it you could rescue some large South American cihclids. Something like a pacu or oscars, or a silver aro.

The OP specified no grow outs (fish that will eventually outgrow this tank). A 180 is a little small for a silver aro and WAY too small for any pacu longterm.
